We've built a map of hemlocks at Hemlock Ravine Park to assist HRM with identifying potential trees for treatment. All hemocks within ~25 meters of the trails and around ~30 cm or larger in diameter are cataloged, measured, and added to an interactive map. We started recording trees in November of 2023 and finished in October of 2025 with a total of 382 trees measured.
Feel free to browse the map here following the link below. Clicking on the red dots will open a pop-up with more information about each tree and the slider at the top right of the page lets you filter trees by diameter. The map works best on desktop or laptop web browsers.
